Ingredients
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 0.5 oz dry vermouth
- 0.25 oz crème de cassis
- 0.25 tsp Angostura bitters
- 1 cup ice
- 3.21 oz cocktail in coupe (strained)
- 1 ea orange
Steps
Chill a coupe glass (place in freezer or fill with ice/water) until cold.≈ 5 min Express an orange peel over the surface to release oils, drop the peel into the drink as garnish.≈ 1 min Measure and add rye whiskey, dry vermouth, crème de cassis, Angostura bitters, and ice into a mixing glass.≈ 1 min Stir the ingredients with ice in the mixing glass until the drink is well chilled and properly diluted.≈ 2 min Strain the stirred cocktail into the chilled coupe glass using a hawthorne or julep strainer.≈ 1 min
