Save and Share My Recipes Collections
My Recipes helps you save, organize, and share groups of recipes.
My Recipes also includes smart lists that update automatically:
- Recipes I Added shows recipes you added to Wen Dinner.
- Recipes I Cooked shows recipes you have rated after cooking.
- Recipes I'd Make Again shows recipes where your latest rating is Would make again.
Smart lists use the same recipe card layout as regular collections, but you cannot manually add recipes to or remove recipes from them.
When to Use My Recipes
Use recipe collections for:
- Weeknight dinners
- Holiday baking
- Vegetarian favorites
- Recipes to try soon
- A shared list for a household or trip
Recipe lists are different from meal plans. A list organizes ideas; a calendar meal schedules recipes for a specific time.
Create a Recipe Collection
Signed-in users can create recipe collections from the My Recipes page or while saving a recipe.
A recipe collection can include a name, optional description, and visibility setting.
Public and Private Lists
Private lists are for you and people you invite. Public lists may be visible to other users or visitors.
Private recipes cannot be added to public recipe collections. If you want to share a private recipe through a collection, keep the collection private and invite specific people.
Share a Recipe Collection
Recipe collection owners can create invite links and choose permissions such as viewer or editor.
- Viewers can see the list and its recipes.
- Editors can help manage the list.
- Owners can revoke shared access.
Sharing a private list may grant recipients access to private recipes in that list. Review the recipes before sharing an invite link.
Use Lists with Meal Planning
Recipe collections are a good staging area for meal ideas. When you are ready to cook, open a recipe and add it to a calendar meal so Wen Dinner can coordinate the cooking schedule.
