Create an Account with Passkeys

Accounts let Wen Dinner save meal plans, private recipes, recipe collections, shopping lists, food you have on hand, and shared access.

Why Create an Account?

You can explore Wen Dinner before signing in, but saved planning features require an account.

Sign in to:

  • Create private recipes from text or files
  • Save meal planning calendars
  • Share calendars with other people
  • Create recipe collections
  • Track shopping lists and food you have on hand
  • Accept shared calendar, recipe collection, or shopping list invites
  • Keep your work across devices

Passkey Sign-In

Wen Dinner uses passkeys for account registration and sign-in. A passkey is a secure sign-in method managed by your device, browser, password manager, or security key.

Depending on your device, a passkey may use:

  • Face ID
  • Touch ID
  • Windows Hello
  • Android screen lock
  • A password manager
  • A hardware security key

Passkeys reduce the need to remember or type a password.

Create an Account

To create an account:

  1. Open the registration page.
  2. Choose a display name.
  3. Name the passkey so you can recognize it later.
  4. Follow your device or browser prompts.

Your display name may be shown to other users in shared contexts, such as recipe attribution or shared resources.

Sign In

To sign in, open the login page and use your passkey. Your browser or device will prompt you to confirm.

If you opened an invite link before signing in, Wen Dinner may return you to that invite after authentication.

Troubleshooting Passkeys

If sign-in does not work:

  • Use the same browser, device, password manager, or security key where the passkey is available.
  • Make sure your browser and operating system are up to date.
  • Check whether your password manager or security key is unlocked.
  • Try another device where the passkey is synced.

If you cannot access your passkey, you may need to create a new account or use another passkey-enabled device where your existing credential is available.
